On November 5- 7, the ICT & Logistiek fair in Utrecht (The Netherlands) brought together logistics and technology professionals from across Europe. On November 6, among the highlights was a presentation by Teemu Heikura (Fintraffic), National Project Manager for the eFTI Gate implementation in Finland, titled “eFTI Technical Insight and Possibilities to Platform Providers.” The presentation took place at the Theatre #7, a space hosted by the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Inland Waterways.
Teemu’s presentation explored the transformative benefits of eFTI for businesses and authorities, emphasizing reduced administrative costs, smoother border crossings, enhanced data reliability, and new opportunities for platform providers. He also provided insights into the functioning of eFTI Gates, platform requirements, and the potential of digitalization to deliver measurable cost savings.
The Finnish eFTI pilot project was also showcased as a practical example, underlining Finland’s role in advancing digital solutions within freight transport and logistics.
A special thanks the Ministry of Infrastructure and Inland Waterways for inviting us to showcase eFTI4EU!
