Between November 2025 and March 2025, the eFTI4EU co-development lead team has organized a series of European International workshops, focused on the development of the eFTI Gate, a key component for implementing the electronic Freight Transport Information (eFTI) Regulation. These sessions, organised as technical workshops, were linked to Work Packages 1 and 2, aimed to foster collaboration and share technical insights among national stakeholders and at the same time promote eFTI4EU reference implementation.

The webinars took place in the following countries and dates:

  • Denmark, 8 November 2024
  • Norway, 12 December 2024
  • Sweden, 9 January 2025
  • Spain, 9 January 2025
  • Czech Republic, 10 January 2025
  • Portugal, 14 March 2025

Each session offered an overview of eFTI Gate development, including the status, coverage and usability of the reference implementation, with a twist of national gate progress. Participants discussed different national strategies, technical challenges, and practical lessons learned, focusing on the pros and cons encountered during development.

These knowledge exchange meetings have been essential in promoting eFTI knowledge, highlighting common technical issues, and supporting alignment across countries. Coordinated by the Finnish team, this initiative strengthens cooperation and helps ensure compatible, interoperable and efficient eFTI Gate solutions throughout Europe.

The eFTI4EU consortium remains committed to facilitating such exchanges, supporting the smooth implementation of the eFTI Gate and advancing the digital transformation of freight transport.
