On Wednesday 25 September 2024 Alexio Picco, Managing Director of Circle, participated in a workshop titled “New Logistics for Employment, Development, and Economic Competitiveness – Digitalisation of Processes and Specific Training for Logistics Operators“. The event was part of the “Stati Generali della Logistica del Nord Ovest” (“States General of Logistics in the North West”), organised by the Regions of Piedmont, Liguria and Lombardy in Milan. The conference centred on the future of logistics in Italy, with a strong emphasis on the transformative impact of digitalisation.
During his speech, Picco emphasized the revolutionary nature of the eFTI Regulation, emphasizing the value of early training investment and increasing knowledge of logistical procedures. Specifically, he stressed how critical it is to teach and educate logistics operators on the procedures as soon as possible, even before the software and tools being completely deployed.
The workshop, which attracted a diverse audience of industry professionals, was an opportunity to discuss the broader implications of digitalisation in logistics, particularly focusing on how it can streamline operations, increase transparency, and boost competitiveness. Picco underscored Circle’s commitment to contributing to the evolution of the sector, also focusing on the company’s involvement in the eFTI4EU project.
The feedback from the event was highly positive, with participants recognising the value of preparing for the full adoption of eFTI. As the logistics sector faces increasing pressure to comply with new regulations and embrace digital transformation, events like this serve as essential forums for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and preparing the workforce for the future challenges and opportunities brought by innovations like eFTI.
