The third edition of the eFTI Yearly Conference, entitled “From Policy to Practice: Preparing Europe for eFTI Implementation”, will take place on 27 and 28 October 2026 at Tour Séquoia in La Défense, Paris, with the possibility of participating online.
Organised by the eFTI4EU and eFTI4ALL projects, hosted by the French Ministry of Transport – DGITM and supported by IN Groupe, the conference is expected to be the largest event of the year entirely dedicated to electronic freight transport information. It will bring together representatives of public authorities, economic operators, technology providers, European institutions, national administrations and other initiatives working on the digitalisation of freight transport.
With Europe moving steadily towards the practical implementation of Regulation (EU) 2020/1056, the 2026 conference will provide an important opportunity to examine the transition from the policy and technical preparation phase to the operational use of eFTI solutions.
Coming this year with a two-day programme, the Conference will combine policy discussions with practical and technical content. Roundtables and presentations will offer updates on the regulatory and implementation framework, while live demonstrations will show how eFTI can support real exchanges of freight transport information between economic operators and competent authorities. Interactive workshops will allow participants to discuss open questions, examine concrete challenges and contribute their own perspectives.
The programme will also provide opportunities for networking and dialogue among the different communities involved in eFTI. Bringing these perspectives together is essential because successful implementation will depend not only on the availability of technical solutions, but also on coordination, shared understanding and trust between all the actors involved.
