With the eFTI4EU & eFTI4ALL Yearly Conference approaching, a new introductory webinar will offer participants a practical opportunity to refresh the basics and get ready for the discussions ahead.

“eFTI Essentials: Who Does What, and by When” is a one-hour online session designed to provide a clear overview of electronic freight transport information (eFTI), its purpose, the main actors involved and the key milestones leading up to full application.

The webinar will take place on Thursday 8 October 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 CEST, on Zoom.

This meeting is particularly aimed at those who are new to eFTI, as well as participants who would like to consolidate their understanding before exploring the topic in greater detail during upcoming events and project activities.

From 9 July 2027, competent authorities across the European Union will be required to accept freight transport information made available electronically through certified eFTI platforms. For companies, the use of eFTI will remain voluntary.

During the session, participants will learn more about:

  • what eFTI is and why it matters;
  • the main challenges it is designed to address;
  • the key actors involved in the eFTI ecosystem;
  • their respective roles and responsibilities;
  • the main milestones ahead;
  • what eFTI will mean in practice for competent authorities and economic operators.

The webinar will also serve as a useful introduction to the discussions taking place across the eFTI community in the coming months.

For participants already registered for the eFTI4EU & eFTI4ALL Yearly Conference, taking place in Paris on 27–28 October, the session will provide a practical refresher ahead of the more detailed conference programme.

Those who have not yet registered for the Yearly Conference will also have the opportunity to learn more about the event and secure one of the remaining online places.
