On 28 May 2026, the Transport Innovation Association (TIA), partner of the eFTI4EU project, organised the national event “Transport Without Paper: Data Integration and eFTI Solutions”, bringing together experts from the transport, logistics, technology and public sectors to discuss the future of digital freight transport and the implementation of the eFTI Regulation.
The event focused on the practical deployment of eFTI and its potential to transform the exchange of freight transport information between businesses and authorities across Europe. Participants explored how digital solutions can streamline document management, reduce administrative burden, improve data quality and support more efficient cooperation throughout the supply chain.

A dedicated session on “How eFTI Platforms Work: From Regulation to Real-Life Application” provided insights into the operational principles of eFTI Gates and the regulatory and technical aspects of their deployment. Representatives from Insoft and the State Tax Inspectorate presented ongoing developments and shared experiences related to the implementation of national eFTI infrastructure.
The programme also featured a practical demonstration, “eFTI in Practice: CargoSign Experience”, illustrating how electronic freight transport information can be integrated into real logistics operations and business processes.

The event concluded with a panel discussion entitled “Will eFTI Deliver a Breakthrough for the Transport Industry?”, where representatives from industry, technology providers and public authorities explored the opportunities and challenges linked to eFTI deployment. Participants agreed that close cooperation between transport operators, technology providers and public authorities will be essential to ensure a successful transition towards paperless freight transport across Europe.
