In October, the eFTI4EU project took center stage at two major national events in Portugal, each dedicated to professionals in the logistics and transport sectors. On both occasions, representatives of the Institute for Mobility and Transport (IMT) – eFTI4EU project partner – delivered two interesting presentations on the progress of the project and its importance for the Country’s logistic sector.
On October 16, the project’s progresses were on display at the 26th Logistics Congress, organized by the Portuguese Logistics Association (APLOG) in Lisbon. This event brought together logistics leaders under the theme “Logistics: Challenges and Innovation for the Future.”
One week later, on October 25, a second presentation was delivered during the Freight Forwarders Day 2024. This time, the event aim was to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Portuguese Freight Forwarders Association (APAT). Gathering industry professionals, the event focused on “The Impact of Digitalization in Freight Forwarding.”
On both occasions, IMT’s presentations on eFTI4EU highlighted the project’s role in simplifying information exchange between logistics operators and authorities, a crucial step toward digital transformation across the European freight landscape.
Beside highlighting eFTI4EU‘s progresses, these events demonstrated Portugal’s dedication to advancing digital tools, and fostering collaboration in the logistics sector, aligning with Europe’s vision for a more streamlined and competitive freight transport ecosystem.
