The eFTI4EU partners gathered in Lisbon on 11–12 May 2026 for the sixth Consortium Meeting, hosted by our colleagues from IMT – Instituto da Mobilidade e dos Transportes at their headquarters in the portoguese capital. As the project moves towards its conclusion at the end of 2026, the meeting represented an important opportunity to review the progress achieved so far and align on the significant work that still lies ahead for the implementation of eFTI across Europe.

Over the two days, partners discussed ongoing technical developments, pilot activities, interoperability challenges, and the next operational and regulatory steps required to support the adoption of electronic freight transport information in the European transport and logistics ecosystem.

The consortium was also pleased to welcome the participation of the eFTI team at DG MOVE (European Commission), whose presence contributed to valuable exchanges on the broader European policy and implementation perspective, alongside representatives from the sister initiatives eFTI4ALL and eFTI4LIVE.

Part of the meeting was also dedicated to the upcoming events that will involve both the eFTI4EU project and the wider eFTI community in the coming months. Among the key milestones discussed were the upcoming TRA Conference in Budapest, the project’s Final Event, as well as the next Joint eFTI Yearly Conference, currently under organisation. Attention was also given to the next series of technical and thematic webinars, which continue to attract strong interest from the European logistics and transport community eager to follow the latest developments in eFTI implementation.

Beyond the working sessions, the meeting provided meaningful opportunities for networking, collaboration, and informal exchange among partners. Social moments, including shared dinners and the social dinner organised during the meeting, created a welcoming environment for discussions, new ideas, and stronger connections across the consortium.

A sincere thank you to our colleagues at IMT for their warm hospitality, excellent organisation, and for making all participants feel truly welcome throughout the event.
